Special Interest Groups

Our BGS Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are communities within our broader organization that serve to support our members that have a mutual interest in a specific genealogical area. They typically meet monthly depending on the interests of the members and the group’s facilitator.  These SGIs aim to advance knowledge in a specific field of genealogy in the group by:

  • Offering opportunities for discussion, questions, and sharing of information, skills and experiences among genealogists.
  • Having subject matter experts share their knowledge.

Volunteer Opportunities! We would love to form several more SIGs,
but we need to recruit a leader or facilitator for each group.
