BGS Tour of Family History Center in Arvada
Come and join us as we are given a tour of the Family History Center (FHC) in Arvada. A volunteer will provide an guide tour of the resources the center has to offer and answer basic questions on using the facility.
Family History Centers provide local option for genealogical research and are operated by the local LDS Church members. The Center and the parent Family History Library in Salt Lake have millions of books, microfilms, and microfiche to assist in your family history search. These records are catalogued in the Family History Library Catalog. The catalog is accessible on the web as well as at the Family History Centers. This collection consists of family histories, birth, marriage, death, bible, church, land, probate, military, immigration, and census records. You can search the catalog by authors, surnames, subjects and locality.
Most Family History Centers are small and do not have large permanent collections. Microfilm and microfiche are ordered from Salt Lake City and are loaned to individual centers, through orders made by visitors.

- At 7080 Independence St, Arvada, CO
